3:15 Gas

Just got the 3:15 gas and it looked so much better. Elli's pH is in the normal range, no base excess, her CO2 was 40 and O2 was 56.9. So much better. Looking forward to more of these. Thanks Elli, now mommy and daddy can breathe.

Brian and Cassi--hope you were able to get some rest this morning, it sounds like it was a very stressful night. We are sending specific prayers for Elli's heart--that the meds help her and that her heart is able to get some rest. Hoping for a quiet, uneventful weekend of rest and gaining strength!

Cassi, Brian & Miss Elli~What a night you all must have had. I'm so sorry to hear about the ups and downs Miss Elli went through. We are praying the conbination of meds will keep her stable so she doesn't have to be uncomfortable and so Mommy & Daddy can rest. You are an amazing couple, hold on to your faith for little Miss Elli. There's really nothing I can say that will help, just know that we are praying long and hard for Miss Elli, you, Brian and the Medical staff. Praying for strength for all of you as your little Miss Elli continues her journey. Hugs and Angel kisses to Miss Elli.

Love to all,

Brian, Cassie & Miss Elli-My heart aches for you. Everytime I look at your blog, which may I add is alot, I try to find the words to say to you. Nothing seems to come out right. I just want you to know we both are thinking of you and praying for things to settle down. Hugs to you all of you.

I am so sorry you had a rough night. I don't think I have ever shed so many tears over someone I have never even met. I have been compelled by your story to look in on you three 3 to 4 times a day. My heart breaks for you daily. Keep the faith and know there are many of us back in Iowa thinking of you and praying for you daily.

My sweet family, I wish I was there to give you a hug. Not that that would make anything better, but it just seems to be the only thing I can think of to do, other than pray constantly. My heart breaks for you having to watch your beautiful little girl struggle so hard. Know that God is keeping you and Elli in his hands. We love you and pray for improvements. Hugs and kisses to Elli

I pray that the meds do their job and Elli continues to get rest and stays stable and begins an uphill climb. Hold onto one another and your faith. I know this is one of the hardest trials you will go through. Not being able to even talk to Elli must be so disheartening. I love you all 3 very much.

Bless your hearts! What s tough 24 hours you have had. I am so glad that you were able to advocate for Elli and see her turn-around. Mis-communication is frustrating enough, but to have it when your child's life is in the balance is 1000 times more difficult.
I will pray that Elli continues to have good numbers, is stable, and gets rest as well as allowing mommy and daddy to come down off the ceiling!

Sorry to hear of your frustrations and rough night. She's a very blessed little girl to have such strong, caring, and knowledgeable parents by her side, watching out for her best interests and care. Let's hope she and the docs can find the right combination of treatments soon, get those little organs stable, and she (and you) can make up for all the times you've wanted to hold her but couldn't!

Hold on to faith...God will continue to hold you all in His arms. I will continue to pray for Elli...for all of you. Don't apologize for venting...you need to vent and writing/typing is sometimes the best way. We appreciate so much how you are constantly updating the blog. It's amazing how a little girl whom very few have ever met has so much support! Praying for a restful day for Elli and mom and dad too!

God Bless,

You three are amazing! This has been more than a roller coster. I wish we were still there to give a cheerful glance or pat on your back. We are praying for you and the medical staff - God give them the knowledge to help Elli! Have you heard about the 2nd floor Ronald McDonald rooms? I forget which nurse told us about them. They are nice and let you get a nap without having to leave the hospital. You can use them day or night - just sign up at the front desk! Know that we send lots of love - Meaghan, Kirk and Michelle

If she is going to give you a scare now, sounds like she's going to be a little rebellious in her teenage years. Look out mom and dad, your going to have your hands full.

On a more serious note, I'm praying for her to keep her blood gases up and keep getting stronger. She has done great so far. Her body just needa a little time to adjust and she will come through with flying colors.

I will be coming down to Childrens with Carson on Sept 11 so I'm really hoping to meet you guys in person.

Thinking of you always,

Kaci
